You came out smacking your lips, even in the operating room, the nurses laughed at this. You continue to smack your lips and somehow you even suck in your top lip when you smack which is so funny to watch. Clearly it is your signal to say, "I'm hungry!"
Initially you were such a leg tucker, always reverting to the fetal position. Over the past couple of weeks you have stretched out and are more willing to hang your legs out. Speaking of stretch - man are you long! You are already outgrowing six-month sleepers because you are so long. No surprise right? Your going to be tall just like everyone else in the family. In addition, you are getting chubbier everyday with rolls in your legs and feet. Sooo cute! I admit to gnawing on them frequently.
You can mostly hold your head up all on your own. Your hair loss has slowed, the jury is still out to see if you will lose it all. My guess is yes - just like your brother did. Eyes continue to look dark so it looks like another brown-eyed kid (slight disappoint). You love to be in the sling/wrap, all snuggled with me or daddy. We have taken you to several Gopher football games and you have been happy as a clam all cozy in there. You are a super easy baby (so far), sleeping 7-8 hours at night, not crying much, etc. And you even tolerate the abuse from your brother pretty well. I think you are taking notes so you can give it right back to him in a few months.
Things in the world look pretty bad these days with the continued bad economy, unemployment, housing crisis, the drought and famine in the Horn of Africa, etc. Things seem bleak but I often look at you and I can feel joy rising. You are such a blessing to us and my heart bursts with love for you. I can't wait to see you continue to grow and change and discover your personality. I have hope that the world will look better by the time you are able to read this.
Love you baby girl,
Mama
