Louise - time is a flying and you are inching closer toward becoming a 2yo everyday.
Your hair is growing like a weed and I can almost get it into one ponytail Such progress for a baby girl who had nothing but a little fuzz this time last year.
You too were very into Easter, again not so much with the candy but with those plastic eggs. I still find them hidden around the house in random places.
New words include; cookah(cookie), boop(poop), patah(potty), eese(cheese), poon(spoon), atah(water), eye, nose, and even a sentence - up Mama!
We have had to cap your naps to no more than 2 hours so you fall asleep easier at night. Otherwise you lie in there singing and talking to yourself for an hour before you fall asleep. I shouldn't complain as you aren't in there screaming, right? You have only managed to climb out of your crib once and you fell pretty hard. I think you realized how much that hurt and haven't done it since - knocking on wood.
Love you Weezy girl,
Mama

Elliot Newsletter: April 2013
Elliot - April was awful...it kept snowing and it was cold and rainy and windy and wet...you get the idea. It left everyone crabby and really ready for spring. You became very tired of putting on snow boots and snow pants at school. One day you even asked if it would ever be warm enough to go to the pool? At the time I answered honestly...I don't know.
Easter was very fun with you as you had a calendar count down going and were so excited to find Easter eggs. What is it about those plastic eggs? I think if they would have been empty inside you would have had just as much fun looking for them. You were also confused/concerned about the fact that we would be in WI visiting family for Easter. Here is a recap of your thinking on our way back to MN:
4.5yo - I can't wait to get home and look for eggs from the Easter Bunny.
Me - There won't be any. The Easter Bunny knew we would be at GK's and Grandpa Rick's and Grandma Mary's for Easter. There were eggs and baskets there.
4.5yo - How does he know?
Me - I wrote him a letter and told him.
4.5yo - We can still check when we get home.
When we get home...
4.5yo - Yup, no eggs here. Where will we be next week for Easter?
Me - You mean next year for Easter?
4.5yo - Yes
Me - We will be here.
4.5yo - Let's write the Easter Bunny a letter now so he knows we will be here. Or does the Easter Bunny go on vacation right after Easter?
Me - Yup.
4.5yo - Ok, then we should write him a letter tomorrow.
Too funny, right?
Love you E,
Mommy

Louise Newsletter: Month 19
Lou - I am behind with these newsletters...I feel like I write that a lot.
Anyway - you are continuing to be a force. Right now you love to be chased and you love to hide, giggles and screaming included.
So far you continue to be a really good eater and I am amazed at your willingness to try things. Maybe it is because your brother is a bit of a finicky earter. Like the other day when you saw me eating chips and salsa, you wanted in on that. So I dipped a little bit on a chip and you gobbled it and asked for more. Perhaps your spicy pepper nickname has merit?
You are obsessed with babies. If you see a baby at a store or out and about, you run over and wave to him or her and immediately want to touch the baby to make it move. I try and anticipate this to best of my ability but you are quick and stealthy. I have had some weird looks from strangers as you poke and prod their kid...nice Weezy.
New words include; boo(boot), shhh-oh(shoe), nana(banana) and nini(Winnie). You know what a cow, dog and horse say. And thanks to your brother, you know that a train says, choo-choo =)
Now let's discuss your tantrums...clearly you are headed into Terrible Two Territory. Elliot didn't really have many tantrums at this age so this is new for us. I think it is because you can't communicate as much as he could. And boy can you get mad, like really mad, like flail on the floor and scream and run away mad...
Maybe this means you won't have epic tantrums as a teenager? Whaddya think?
Either way - we wouldn't trade you for anything.
Love you Weezy Bug,
Mama
