Newsletter Month: 8
Elliot - yesterday you turned eight months old. Time is flying like usual and you are giving us a run for our money these days. We wish we could go back to about six weeks ago when you were sleeping so well - like this...
Oh those were the days. Instead you are deciding to get up 3-5 times at night. Last night you were up every two hours. We even held a Sleep Summit with you to discuss our issues. I am afraid our language barrier is too great and we couldn't come to any agreement. We wish you could tell us what it is...we are all pretty exhausted and a bit crabby these days.
But then again you are so darn cute it is hard to be mad at you for long...
You are cooing up a storm, laughing and giggling so much. You want to climb all over the place, pulling yourself up onto things and thinking about crawling. We guess in the next couple weeks you may be crawling fully - look out now!
You are a pro at feeding yourself now and are eager to get to it as soon as we put you in your highchair. And the best part is for the first time in almost five months you are not a teething, drooling mess, which means you don't have to live in a bib, yay! The Johnny Jumper has been a highlight in our house. I think you would jump in that thing the whole day if we let you. You are even jumping in your sleep sometimes as we re-tuck the covers up at night. You are a jumping fool.
You and daddy made my first Mother's Day very special. We hung out at home and you guys cooked for me all day. I feel very lucky to be your mama - even on a little sleep =)
We also found out this month that you have some allergies which has been causing some of your skin irritation issues. We hope they get better as you get bigger. Contrary to what daddy and I thought- you are indeed not allergic to sleep. Sigh...
