Louise arrived and we were worried you would have a hard time adjusting to a new sister. However, you have surprised us by being absolutely in love with her. You want to hug and kiss her all of the time, sometimes a bit too hard =) You want to help do everything; swaddle, burp, rock, give her a bottle, buckle her in her car seat and help wake her up when we need to.
It took a few days for you to get used to her asking questions like; "when can I feed her a bottle", "why doesn't she eat at the table with us?" and "when can she play with me?" And it took you a while to remember that mommy still has an "owie" and you can't climb all over her like you are used to and she can't pick you up yet.
And you call her "Wa-wheez" (Louise) which is adorable!
One of the funniest things you are doing right now is imitating me when I feed Louise. You grab your "baby" which is a gnome statue. You lift up your shirt and feed your baby while I feed Louise. Then you "switch sides" and feed your baby on the other side. Then you burp, swaddle and put your baby too bed. It is so sweet to watch you do this, you are so tender and purposeful. Elliot you are a great big brother! Louise is so lucky to have you to take care of her.

Preschool started too and you are totally loving it. The highlight the first day was your new green lunchbox. Your favorite color is green, you talk about it a lot! I laughed so hard when you said that was your favorite thing. And you love playing outside and with your new friends. The group spends time working in the garden out back which you enjoy as well. So far you are always excited to go and hate to leave and then talk my ear off on the way home about everything you did.

We celebrated your birthday with a big party. You are now fully in to present-opening-festivities and were only impressed with toys, clothes were quickly tossed aside. Your cake was topped with a train (which you love) and things that were green. This included green M&M's that you insisted on picking off and eating before your cake. It was hilarious to watch!
Elliot, we are so proud of you and love every minute watching you change and grow.
We often say to each other that we wish we could "push pause" for a bit as you are so fun and inquisitive right now. The things you say and questions you almost always make us smile.
Love you so much E,
Mommy
