Newsletter: December 2010

Elliot - December has been a crazy month here! Most notably we have had more than 33-inches of snow! The snow banks are so high that you can't see over them. You have been fascinated by all the snow and you look pretty cute in your boots and hat and coat and scarf and mittens...though getting your thumb in the right hole is quite challenging.

You love to count and can make it to 100 with help. You always struggle with what comes after the 9's like 29, 39, etc. But with some help you are happy to continue. Frequently as you are trying to go to sleep - you sing the ABC's without missing many.

Christmas has been so fun with you this year! You like to touch the ornaments on the tree though we have told you to do so with one finger. So you touch with one finger but with your other handing guiding you. It is as if you don't trust yourself with just one hand. You like to talk about Santa Claus and you love to look at mangers identifying baby Jesus, Mary, Joseph, etc.
And you love to see Christmas trees.

Movies are becoming enjoyable for you. You love to watch Finding Nemo. And Sesame Street and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse are favorite cartoons too. Music continues to be a love of yours. You frequently ask to have music on and love to dance. We have many dance parties and your moves are getting pretty good.

Some of your favorite sayings right now are up-ah-daisy, anytime you want to get up somewhere or want someone to pick you up, you like to list the things you want to eat i.e. "I like toast," "I like cookies." You like to yell, "WiniBears", "Winiiiiiiiiiiiiifred".
Things I find myself saying to you lately are, "Don't stick your fingers up Wini's nose," "We only talk about peoples penis' at home not in public", "It isn't nice to slap peoples butts," etc...

I find this list grows daily...=)
