Your language continues to come and it is hilarious listening to you jabber sometimes. New words this month include; up, naugh-nee (naughty), bubble, balloon, please, oh-no, neigh-neigh for horse, ho-ho (hello) and towel.
We are working on counting and you know to say 1, 2, 3, before something happens. Though it comes out as oh, oh, eee. =)
Somehow this month mama and dada have evolved into mommy and da-yee. Still the big accent on the end like you are Italian...ciao.
You grow more independent every day. Wanting to dress yourself, climb into your stroller and highchair, walk without holding someone's hand, etc. You are becoming such a little boy.
Pushing limits continues to be fun for you as you test out jumping on the couch and your bed - which sometimes means you hurt yourself when you fall. No more than a minute or two to recover and you are right back at it.
There is a splash pad near our house with spraying water and a wading pool that we have been enjoying on hot summer days. At first you were unsure about it. You looked at me like, "mama this water is so cold, are you crazy?!" But then you warmed up to it and have been splashing and playing in the pool. And you have discovered sand boxes and sand toys which have provided a lot of entertainment for you.
Coloring with crayons is something new too - though not always on the paper. Like the time you colored on the chair in the living room- real nice. And drumming - we gave you some play drums and sticks for Christmas and it is like you are just discovering what to do now, making anything into a drum. Lord help us if you really want to be a drummer - ear plugs now?
